Care Bears Cottage is one of the few small, privately owned and operated child care centres in southern Tasmania. The centre offers you genuine, high-quality childcare in a beautiful bushland setting. The moment you walk in the door you’ll feel the friendly and loving atmosphere. Guided by the philosophical approaches of Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner & and the Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework, the educators believe that children must have some control over the direction of their learning; must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing and hearing; having a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore and have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves. In this way the programming is organic as its direction follows the children's pondering's and inquiry.

The centre is over-staffed for the benefit of the little people to and there are places for just 35 children each day.

Our toddler room is equipped for up to 21 children with 3 educators each day.

Our baby room caters for up to 14 children with 4 educators.
